Why We Built This Site
A Craig County case may be in General District, Juvenile and Domestic Relations, or Circuit Court. The combined GDC/J&DR clerk and Circuit Court clerk maintain different files, while the sheriff's office is the local contact for warrant service questions. Virginia's Online Case Information System (OCIS) can help locate eligible public case entries, but it does not act as a complete warrant-status register. These separate roles make it easy to search one source and mistake an incomplete result for confirmation. The pages here organize the local routes and explain when to ask the actual record holder.
What You Will Find Here
- Public case searching: the Craig County warrant check page explains the OCIS name and case-number search and its limits.
- Unconfirmed active status: Active Warrant Search explains why no complete public Craig roster was located.
- Missed court obligations: Bench Warrant Lookup distinguishes court-issued capias process from other records.
- Criminal process: Arrest Warrant Lookup covers Virginia process and local confirmation roles.
- Traffic and town questions: Traffic Warrants and City Court Warrant describe local procedures and the absence of a separate municipal court portal.
- Public-list claims: County Most Wanted explains that no official Craig County program was located.
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site, not a Virginia court, sheriff's office, or state agency. It is not the official court record and has no authority over a warrant. We cannot:
- run an official warrant check or confirm a person's current status;
- issue, serve, recall, quash, or clear a warrant;
- take bond or other court payments, arrange an appearance, or schedule a surrender;
- give legal advice about a specific case; or
- guarantee that an office contact or public case entry has not changed.
For a Craig County record, confirm case status with the court that holds that case and ask the sheriff's office about service questions. A blank OCIS result does not establish that no warrant exists.
Search Partners
Some pages include search boxes operated by outside providers. A provider may set its own prices, collect information under its own privacy terms, and return results that do not match an official court file. If a provider offers a referral arrangement, the site may receive a fee when a visitor signs up through that service. We do not control those services, and their results are not a Craig County or Virginia warrant check. For an official answer, contact the clerk or sheriff that maintains the relevant record.
